THE NEW ORDER Vol. 11
feat. John Mayer & Hiroshi Fujiwara

"THE NEW ORDER Vol. 11 is defined by the diversity of the two people who feature on the cover. The first, John Mayer, a talented musician who has a keen eye for fashion then there is Hiroshi Fujiwara, the man who has played the most important role in Japanese fashion.

For John Mayer’s story I wanted to work on something that was really important to him and something that correlated with the magazine so I organised to sit him down with Hiroki Nakamura of visvim. As an avid fan of the label it was quite fascinating to have these hugely talented people discuss the finer elements of a label that really defines how street fashion has come in the last decade.

The next cover story is more of a topical piece, Hiroshi Fujiwara, the man who is at the centre of the movement in Japan. Besides an in depth interview, we shot him in familiar settings in Harajuku as well as putting together a small collection of goods from his archive.

Other editorials in this issue include pieces on Sasquatchfabrix., OAMC, Shin Murayama, Burton Thirteen, Maiden Noir, Yuketen & Monitaly, Old Joe & Co, ts(s) and black crows. In addition we have chosen labels like sacai, Marcelo Burlon, PIGALLE BASKETBALL and C.E amongst others to shoot as well as photographers Magnus Unnar and Hori Kiyohide contributing personal works."

issue 11 will be available from August 30, for a list of stockists click here.
