latest pickups... "Made in Japan"

today it's all about made in Japan. the Olympus OM-1 was first introduced 1972 (as M-1, the name was changed 1973 due to a lawsuit filed by Leica) and was the smallest and lightest SLR of its time. this particular model, the OM-1 MD (motor drive), was released 1974. it's accompanied by the fantastic 28mm & 50mm Zuiko lenses. the camera itself was cleaned thoroughly and the original black surface was replaced with blue leather. furthermore there's the Seiko "Sea Urchin" automatic watch which for me is one of the best entry level options out there. the international model is more commonly available, but i wanted the made in Japan version.

to accompany their fall/ winter 2015 collection "Contact Light", wings+horns teamed up with Vancouver's Lattimer Gallery and artist Shawn Edenshaw to create this beautiful hand-engraved sterling silver cuff bracelet. available from wings+horns, either instore or online, but only 25 pieces have been made.

3sixteen x Eames Lounge Chair

3sixteen teamed up with Herman Miller (one of the companies that produces Eames furniture) for a special make-up of Eames' famous Lounge Chair & ottoman. made from hand-oiled palisander wood and upholstered with natural vegetable-tanned leather that is treated to darken over time and is also used on the patches of 3sixteen’s denim. unfortunately only 3 sets will be made, so it's very unlikely that you'll ever place your butt on one of these beauties. the 3 sets will be released at the Pop Up Flea in NYC (December 11-13).
